Sili-Thane™ 801 One-part Hybrid Sealant

Technical Data

Sili-Thane 801 is based on new polymer technology that combines the benefits of silicones (superior UV resistance, fast tack-free and cure times) with the benefits of polyurethanes (paintable; excellent primerless adhesion to a wide range of substrates of dissimilar porosity, surface textures and coefficients of expansion). Although it is a moisture-cure sealant, it is non-bubbling when applied in high humidity or to moist substrates.

Sili-Thane 801 has extraordinary adhesion to unprimed and acrylic-coated aluminum, brass, steel, stainless steel, tin, concrete, mortar, brick, slate, stone, glass, ceramic tile, fiberglass, ABS, PVC, Nylon 66, polyester, lauan wood and plywood. It exhibits adhesive/cohesive failure-in-peel to unprimed polystyrene, polycarbonate and acrylic. Sili-thane 801 is not intended for structural applications

Benefits:
